First thing to do is to check the all the parts in the box against the check list provided in the manual. After several cross check I found a couple of things missing the most important was one of the die cut sheets which contained the second half of the sheer, I contacted Dumas and the posted me the missing items which arrived in less that 10 days.

Getting the die cut ply out of the sheets can sometimes be quite hard work and especial as the wood splinters quite easy, so to avoid damaging and splintering the wood I found the best way to get the section out was to run a sharp hobby knife in to the cutout line several times and them turn the sheet over and sand it down with 80 grit sand paper after repeating this several time the section drop out easily.

To build this project I used a large piece (100cm x 36mc) of 22mm MDF.

First thing I did was to read through the manual several times, it is well written and explains most things clearly, I wanted to start the build in my head first in order to avoid any potential problems. Once I was satisfied I clearly understood the first several stages the next job was remove all parts, sheer, centre keel and frames from the mahogany ply sheets and then to put together the sheer and the centre Keel.
